Darwin & Dinosaurs

Walk among dinosaurs and trace how their discovery in the 1800s inspired Charles Darwin to explore how life has adapted and changed over millions of years. Highlights include 85 rare artifacts from Darwin’s life, work, and voyage on the HMS Beagle.
The Way Out West

This exhibit, the centerpiece of the museum for years to come, will tell the world's biggest and most balanced story about East Idaho, convey a diversity of voices, and offer a range of exciting and enlightening experiences for learners of all ages and all types. It will feature significant artifacts (new acquisitions as well as old favorites) and stunning interactives.
The exhibit will be housed in the museum's current permanent and traveling exhibit spaces, once construction is complete on our new traveling exhibit hall. Galleries will be organized into the following themes:
