About the Exhibition

What happens when imagination becomes invention? Sci-Fi: Inventing Tomorrow explores the fascinating connection between pop culture and the real-world technologies transforming how we live, work, play, connect, and move.

Step into a world where science fiction becomes science fact through an immersive collection of iconic replicas, futuristic technology, and more than a dozen hands-on experiences. Encounter an authentic recreation of the DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future, experiment with technology inspired by space exploration, discover innovations once thought impossible, and see how generations of writers, filmmakers, artists, and futurists helped imagine the world we live in today.

Throughout the exhibit, explore four areas that trace our journey from yesterday’s fantasies to tomorrow’s possibilities: How We Play, How We Connect, How We Move, and How We Live & Work. Along the way, discover the visionaries behind groundbreaking ideas and consider one big question: What science fiction of today could become the science fact of tomorrow?
