Pop-in experiences

A unique visit every time

Enjoy new experiences with every visit to MOI, thanks to the Marie Putnam Discovery Room and other pop-in opportunities. No appointments or extra funds necessary.

Marie Putnam Discovery Room

In this beautifully decorated space, kids can climb, crawl, explore a tipi and a settler’s cabin, and enjoy puzzles, books, and experiments all in one place. Kids must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The Discovery Room is normally open to the public without appointment, but may be reserved for private parties.

Adventure Backpacks

Check out one of six unique adventure backpacks with themes like Time Traveler or Storyteller. Each backpack contains items and activities to help you enjoy the Way Out West exhibit in new ways with each visit. Backpacks also come with resources for the visually impaired and sensory sensitive.
