General questions

How do I renew my membership?

To renew, simply purchase a new membership online or on-site. If you chose to auto-renew, no action is necessary. We will send you an email confirming your auto-renewal once we receive your auto-payment.

How do I access my online member account?

All MOI members have accounts on the website that allow members to access discounts and exclusive content, and edit membership options. To access your account, use the “Login” link in the top menu. If this is your first time logging in, you will need to set a password using the “Lost your password?” link. Enter the email address tied to your membership.

  • Please note that while multiple family members on the same membership may receive emails from the museum individually, each MOI member account is tied only to the email address of the primary account holder listed at the time of purchase.

How do I receive my constituent ID?

If you were a MOI member in Summer 2021, constituent IDs were included in an email you received that summer about digital membership cards. If you have joined since then, it was included in your welcome email. If you did not receive one of these or are unable to locate your ID, please contact Camille at 208.522.1400 ext. 3013 or email.

Will I receive notifications via the eMembership app?

We encourage you to allow push notifications on the eMembership app. This will allow the museum to send targeted reminders when your membership is about to expire, and so you can be the first to know about major MOI announcements. Don’t worry, this won’t happen often.

I just renewed my membership, but my digital membership card doesn’t reflect my new membership dates. What do I do?

Your digital membership card will not reflect your new/renewed membership until the office processes your application, which may take up to two weeks. Don’t worry, your membership is active the moment you purchase it, and membership cards are not required to reap the benefits of your membership, so feel free to come to the museum before you receive your updated card(s)!

The information on my membership card is incorrect. What should I do?

Please contact Camille at 208.522.1400 ext. 3013 or email.

I just renewed my membership, but my digital membership card disappeared. What should I do?

When your membership expires, your digital membership card will disappear from the eMembership app. Once you renew, you can re-download the digital membership card app using the same member ID # previously used (it will be included in your renewal member email) & your last name. If you did not receive one of these or are unable to locate your ID, please contact Camille at 208.522.1400 ext. 3013 or email.

How do I share my digital membership card?

Your membership to the museum is non-transferable. For example, if you purchase an individual membership, you are the only person able to enter the museum with that membership. For Family, Supporter, Dual, and other membership levels, each adult named on the membership can access their card by simply downloading the app and entering their last name and constituent ID when/where prompted.

I cannot or prefer not to use a digital membership card. What should I do?

We will still offer the option of a physical card at $5 additional cost per card. You may request a physical card in person at the front desk or by contacting Camille at 208.522.1400 ext. 3013 or email. Card(s) will be mailed to you.

When I tried to download my membership card, a pop-up window appeared that said “the data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format.” What should I do?

Please contact Camille 208.522.1400 ext. 3013 or email and she will help fix this issue.

Can I add multiple membership cards to the digital membership card app?

Our version of the app only allows you to store one membership card at a time. However, you can add multiple membership cards to your smartphone wallet.

Follow these simple steps:

  • Open the app and press “Find My Membership Cards”.
  • Input the membership number and last name of the member whose card you would like to download.
  • Once the additional digital membership card is added, click “Show My Membership Cards” and click “Add to Wallet”. When prompted by the pop-up, be sure to click the “Add” button in the upper right-hand corner. The additional card will appear in your smartphone wallet.

Your app will store the last card downloaded. So, after adding the secondary member card to your smartphone wallet, you can re-download the digital membership card of the primary member. Please note that notifications can only be sent through the app. Only the member whose card is downloaded to the app will receive personalized notifications such as “Your Membership is Expiring Soon.”

You can add multiple membership cards to your smartphone wallet this way. If you have any issues finding the membership number of the other members whose cards you wish to download, please refer to the welcome email the member(s) received upon purchasing a membership.
