Film Screening of “Discovering 18th & Vine in Kansas City”

A Visions of America film series event, brought to you by Idaho State University (ISU) and the Museum of Idaho (MOI)

Join us for a screening ofDiscovering 18th & Vine in Kansas City, which celebrates African American contributions to jazz & baseball.

• Location: ISU Idaho Falls campus in the Tingey Auditorium (1784 Science Center Dr)
• This is a free event. No registration required.

About the film series: As part of the America250 initiative celebrating the Semiquincentennial anniversary of the nation, PBS Books and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) have filmed Visions of America: All Stories, All People, All Places, that, “explores our post-pandemic nation with a renewed interest in the places, people, and stories that have contributed to the America we live in today.”

Each short film will be accompanied by a panel discussion, questions from the audience, and book sales of relevant titles from local mainstay Winnie & Mo’s Bookshop.

The events will take place on the ISU Idaho Falls campus, in the Tingey Administration Building’s Auditorium. Doors are at 6:30 p.m. where book sales will be available and local organizations will distribute their information. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
