Nisei Trials Distinguished Lecture

Join us at the Museum of Idaho for an important discussion on the Japanese Americans incarcerated at Minidoka who resisted the military draft in protest of their imprisonment during World War II. This conversation will explore the stories of the Minidoka draft resisters and the lessons they offer for today.

The discussion will feature Frank Abe, author of the graphic novel We Hereby Refuse, and Eric Muller, author of Free to Die for Their Country, American Inquisition, and Lawyer, Jailer, Ally, Foe. Together, they will reflect on the meaning of citizenship, acts of resistance, and the legal proceedings surrounding the historic trials that took place in Boise, Idaho, 80 years ago.
