Museum Club: Trinity’s Stained Glass Windows

Museum Club will begin in the sanctuary at Trinity United Methodist Church at 237 N Water Ave, Idaho Falls, ID 83402, adjacent to the Museum of Idaho.
Discover the rich history and architectural beauty of Trinity United Methodist Church’s stained-glass windows, installed during its 1917 construction. Explore the Gothic elements, ornate columns, towers, arches, and spires surrounding central amber glass. Join us for a walking tour, delving into the sanctuary, parlor, and upstairs chapel and balcony, while discussing recent vent window restoration.
Richard Dickson is a dedicated Trustee at Trinity who has been an instrumental force in the preservation and enhancement the church. He played a pivotal role in the significant renovation of the stone building and office spaces in 2018/19, ensuring that the architectural heritage was not only maintained but elevated. With a passion for the past, Richard has taken on the responsibility of restoring and preserving the intricate vent windows at Trinity. In 2021, he successfully completed the restoration of two vent windows. Dickson continued his efforts in 2023 and 2024, taking on two more vent windows to further contribute to the church’s historic beauty. Richard’s love for antiquities is deeply rooted, having worked at a jewelry store during high school and college repairing antique clocks.
