Summer day camps (July/August)

Choose from up to four different camps for ages 6-9 or 10+

Each day camp is held four times during the summer for ages 6-9 and twice for ages 10+.

• MOI members receive $5 off. Not a member yet? Become one now.
• Camps for ages 6-9 run from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Camps for ages 10+ run from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Your 2024 camp lineup:

• It’s a Disaster!: Learn about the science behind earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, and fire in this camp exploring the drama of our natural world.
• School of Magic and Science: We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to the School of Magic and Science. Learn all about the science behind magical powers and magic tricks in this hands-on camp.
• Story Quest: In the long, dark halls of the museum, stories are waiting to be told. Explore the science of storytelling through gaming, films, objects, and writing in this camp for creatives!
• Wild Superpowers!: Let’s adventure through time in this camp exploring some of Idaho’s most fascinating plants and animals. We’ll investigate both ancient and modern living things and the “superpowers” they must have to survive in Idaho!

NEW! A limited number of scholarships are now available for underserved students, thanks to a generous grant from the Idaho Environmental Coalition. These scholarships make your final cost only $5 per camp! Students must meet at least one of the following criteria for eligibility:

• Household income: must qualify for free/reduced school lunch or MOI’s reduced-cost membership matrix
• Ethnic minority status: according to the standard US Government definition
