Monday, March 18 | 9am-7pm (Other dates and locations available. See calendar for details.)
Museum of Idaho, 200 N. Eastern Ave., Idaho Falls
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to incorporate invention-based computer science into every subject in their classroom. With scaffolding from coding unplugged to Makey Makey projects, attendees will learn the basics of coding and computational thinking. After the full-day workshop, participants will spend five hours creating a project appropriate to their subject area and grade level using the technology provided.
In addition to this FREE workshop, each participant will receive a Makey Makey to take home, as well as one CEU credit from Boise State University. The link for the CEU will be given to participants on the day of the workshop. Participants may choose to bring their own laptop computer with wifi capability and a USB port or share a Chromebook, provided by the Museum of Idaho for use during this class, with another participant.
This workshop is possible thanks to funds from the Idaho STEM Action Center, Leland D. Beckman Foundation, and Idaho National Laboratory.
