Bring it to the Museum of Idaho’s Celebrity Appraisal Antique Showcase, where expert guest appraisers will provide verbal appraisals of fine art, antiques, sports memorabilia, comic books, vintage toys, family heirlooms, and other intriguing objects. Check-in details
- Arrive at the museum with your item(s) approximately 15 minutes before your time slot
- Check in at the table near the front entrance to get a program and a call number
- Wait for your number to be called
- Appraisals last approximately 5 minutes
- Please note that general admission is not included with your appraisal ticket
Spectator details
The event is open to the public with paid general museum admission, so bring your friends and family!

- MOI members watch for free.
- No advance tickets are required for spectators. Simply purchase general museum admission upon arrival, then take a seat in the Education Center to enjoy the appraisals. Seating is first-come, first-served.
- Photography and video recording of appraisals are not permitted.
- Please remain quiet during appraisals to allow participants and appraisers to communicate.

How many items does one appraisal ticket cover?
Each appraisal ticket is valid for one 5-minute verbal appraisal of one object.
Can I bring more than one item?
Yes! You may bring up to five objects for appraisal. Please purchase one timed appraisal ticket for each object you would like appraised. We recommend purchasing back-to-back time slots (while spots last).
How do timed tickets work?
Timed tickets are available for purchase every five minutes, from 10 am – 5:45 pm. Click “purchase appraisal tickets,” then select a time slot at checkout.
What types of items can I bring?
Our appraisers specialize in fine art, antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, comic books, vintage toys, family heirlooms, and many other interesting or potentially valuable objects.
Are there any items that are not accepted?
Firearms and furniture will not be accepted for appraisal.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appraisal time to allow time for check-in.
Does my appraisal ticket include museum admission?
No, museum admission is not included with an appraisal ticket. Please purchase admission at the front desk.
Can friends and family attend?
Absolutely! Spectators are welcome to watch the appraisals with paid general museum admission. No advanced reservation is required for spectators.
Do Museum of Idaho members receive a discount?
Yes! Museum members receive $5 off each appraisal ticket using promo code MEMBER5.
Are the appraisals written or verbal?
Appraisals are verbal valuations provided by our guest appraisers for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Will the appraisers purchase my item?
No. Appraisals are provided for educational and informational purposes only and are not offers to purchase.
Can I take photos or videos during the appraisals?
No. Photography and video recording of appraisals are not permitted.
