Celebrate your child’s big day with a party they’ll never forget—right here at the Museum of Idaho! Our themed birthday parties combine fun, science, and discovery in a private party room with access to engaging exhibits and interactive activities. Whether your child is into dinosaurs or inventing cool creations, we’ve got the perfect experience for your group.

Dig into Dinos!
Budding paleontologists will travel back in time to uncover the mysteries of the prehistoric world. Using real tools and fossil replicas, kids will:

Touch real fossils like coprolite (yes, fossilized poop!)

Dig for hidden “fossils” in sand bins

The Inventor’s Lab
Let creativity and curiosity run wild! Young engineers explore circuits by building birthday-themed machines.

Confetti Launch: Engineer a catapult and launch confetti-like pom poms while learning about energy and force

Birthday Card Scribbler: Design wacky birthday cards using a drawing machine

Light Birthday “Candles”: Engineer your own birthday “candles” using Little Bits—real electronic blocks that snap together to make circuits.
This theme is perfect for kids who love to build, test, and invent.

2 hours in a private party room with direct access to the Marie Putnam Children’s Discovery Room, where kids can play in a teepee and settler’s cabin, crawl through caves, hang out in a tree fort, and enjoy a variety of games, books, experiments, & puzzles.

Admission for 10 guests* to all museum exhibits *Additional guests are welcome at regular admission prices.
